More particularly, the invention is concerned with a method for controlling azimuth and elevation of a target to be controlled, which has an attitude control actuator for controlling azimuth and elevation angles of the target to be controlled, in which the attitude control actuator is activated in time relation with the target to be controlled at the time the target to be controlled approaches the attitude control actuator, and with an azimuth and elevation control device thereof. FIG. 9 shows one example of a conventional azimuth and elevation control device of the kind referred to above. With the azimuth and elevation control device shown in FIG. 9, the attitude of the vehicle is controlled by actuating two attitude control actuators 30, 31 to rotate in angular directions opposite to each other. The azimuth and elevation angles of the vehicle which can be controlled by these attitude control actuators 30, 31 are limited by respective angle rotation regions shown in the dotted lines.
